ZEN was today announced as the overall winner of the 2010 In-Business Fast Movers.

The awards breakfast, held at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide this morning, acknowledged the State’s Top 25 fast moving companies.

ZEN Founder and Chief Executive Officer Richard Turner has taken the company from start-up to market leader in just five years, with year upon year self-funded 800% growth.

ZEN plans to reach $100 million turnover in FY2011 via brand development, national expansion with plans to open 14 retail stores across Australia this financial year, and escalating strategic partnerships with industry and local government.

“To top the list of the State’s fast moving businesses is a great accolade for ZEN and all our staff,” Mr Turner said. “ZEN is growing exponentially in response to strong demand for better quality energy solutions in metropolitan, regional and rural communities right across Australia.

“We have been very careful to ensure we are well resourced to undertake this growing amount of work. It’s about maintaining high-quality service. We’re obsessed with the quality of our systems, service and installation – not just chasing volume.” The award win caps off an exciting week for ZEN with Mr Turner named Australia’s Entrepreneur of the Year in the national cleantech category at the 10th annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards held in Sydney on November 24.

“While we are approaching the end of 2010 on a high, we look forward to even greater achievements in 2011 with some very exciting announcements in the wings,” he said.
